On January 22 our nation will mark the 41st anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decision that made abortion legal throughout the U.S.
Since that tragic decision, more than 55 million children's lives have been lost to abortion, and many suffer that loss -- often in silence.
Join thousands of Catholics across the country coming together in prayer for a "culture of life" from Saturday, January 18 - Sunday, January 26!
The USCCB has readings and meditations for each day and ideas for different types of penance. Sign up to receive this novena daily through an app, emails, or text messages!

Holly Daze Bazaar is a parish fundraiser that takes place in November. It’s a craft bazaar open to the community where local vendors buy a table to sell their wares. The tables sell out every year – it’s popular! Thank-you to Kris Cushing who has led it in the past. She has great floorplans/timelines/insights for the next person if interested. Please contact the office if you would like to help lead this event – if it’s going to happen, we need to get the first steps started – reserving the space. It brings in needed revenue for our parish and is a great community event!

"Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth" by Reza Aslan will be discussed at the next meeting of the Vashon Ecumenical Book Group from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, in the conference room at St. John Vianney Church. Rick Paquette, an SJV parishioner, will facilitate the discussion. All are welcome.
