SJV MARRIAGE ADVOCATES NEEDEDOur parish is in need of volunteers to help parishioners seeking marriage annulments.
These Marriage "Advocates" receive special training through the Archdiocese of Seattle (paid for by our parish) to assist those seeking annulments in presenting their request to our archdiocesan Tribunal (Marriage Court). The advocate conducts a personal interview with the petitioner, helps in the preparation of the petitioner's formal request, and insures that all forms and other data are complete. The Advocate also helps answer the petitioner's questions about the annulment process and the Church's teaching on marriage.
You do not need to be a lawyer to exercise this ministry or have previous related experience. All the training you will need to perform the role of Advocate will be provided by the parish and our archdiocese. We are also fortunate that our current Advocate, who will be cycling out of this important role, has offered to mentor interested candidates.
To learn more about becoming a Marriage Advocate and about upcoming training sessions, please contact Fr. Marc at the parish office (567-4149)

PRIEST PENSION FUND Your much needed donation supplements the pension of our retired and retiring priests. They are very grateful for this additional support. You may put your envelopes or a check with it’s memo labelled “Priest Pension Fund” in the collection basket or return them to the parish office.
