Book Group discusses "Abounding in Kindness"
on Sun, July 12
The Vashon Ecumenical Book Group will discuss Abounding in Kindness: Writings for the People of God by Elizabeth A. Johnson from 4 to 5:30 pm, Sunday, July 12, in the conference room at St. John Vianney Church. David Giusti will facilitate the discussion. All are welcome.
Johnson, a creative and influential Catholic theologian, brings a feminist perspective to the central themes of Christian faith.

St. Vincent de PaulThere will be a collection for St. Vincent de Paul after all masses this weekend, July 11th and 12th.

Vacation Bible School
A Ride on the Wings of Prayer with the Amazing Angels and Super Saints
We are excited to announce that Vacation Bible School will be taking place at St. John Vianney August 17 - 21st (9:30-1:00) for kids ages 5-11. 12-14 year olds are also encouraged to participate as helpers! The theme of the week will be "A Ride on the Wings of Prayer with the Amazing Angels and Super Saints". Registration forms are in the vestibule and are due by June 30th. John & Catherine Trierweiler would like to thank everyone for their prayers, visits and help they received during their recovery from the car accident. It definitely eased the difficult time. They are doing much better and continued prayers are welcome!

Free Adult Faith Formation

St. Patrick Church, Tacoma, is offering a free adult formation program at 7 pm on Thursday, July 9th.  The speaker will be offering some unique insights into how we can deepen our faith through the spiritual gifts of children.
