Thank-you to the anonymous person who not only assembled the fans, but also put them away and recycled all the packaging materials!
Are you good with communications? We need someone to help with our social media communications on a regular/weekly basis – facebook, twitter, webpage, etc.

With the help of a St. John Vianney Village, the Holly Daze all-Island bazaar was a huge success on many counts: some 60 vendors were happy with their day and sales; the large crowd of visitors were happy with the beautiful decor, great products being offered, and holiday-festive atmosphere, and the many many volunteers from SJV had a grand time putting on this always-anticipated Vashon community service event. In the end, the SJV Women's Group proudly saw a net income of about $3,500 flow into our parish. The Bake Sale made about $1,100, and the Beverage & Hot Dog Sales (woof-woof) nearly $600 -- well done you!

We want to thank the many parishioners who helped bring about this success: the amazingly organized bake sale team and all their parishioner-bakers; the men of SJV and their helpers who grilled 200 hot dogs in that bone-chilling weather; the many men and women who moved those heavy tables and chairs both on Friday evening and again at bazaar close;  and what would we do without the help of our teens and their families who cheerfully helped with moving, set up, decorating and break-down(?). Thanks to our artistic decor team who graced McMurray cafeteria with holiday sparkle; and the Food Sales team who practiced their sales techniques and even arranged for food to be delivered to vendors at their stalls (hurrah!) -- Holly Daze is truly an event which proves the adage 'many hands make light work '(unless you are lifting a cafeteria table, of course). Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We are so proud of the outcome of this community event and humbled by all the generosity of our fellow parishioners who helped it happen. Thank you all.
