Parishioners are invited to join in praying the Stations of the Cross on Fridays in Lent following Mass.

This week CRS Rice Bowl country is the island nation of Madagascar, where we’re reminded of the important role farmers play in caring for God’s creation. As we prepare our meals throughout the week, let us reflect on where our food comes from – and what role we can play in caring for our environment. Visit for more.

Lenten Soup Sundays
There are sign-up sheets in the vestibule for people to sign up to bring Soup or Bread for the Sundays of Lent (starting next Sunday). The soups/bread will be served after the 10:30 Masses in the Social Hall. Meat soups are fine as they will be served on Sundays, not Fridays.

Adopt a Station of the Cross
There are a few spots left for adoption. This would be a great family activity to keep your station looking good. The effort is about 30 minutes a month. Please contact the office to adopt a station.

Help Needed
The Church grounds are maintained by volunteers. We do not pay a landscaping company. The mowing season will soon be here and we need volunteers to mow the grounds. The effort is 2-3 hours every other Friday. We start at 9:30 AM. If you do not know how to run a mower we will teach you. Please call the office to sigh up or call Robert Kajca (253-579-4682) for additional information.

As my studies in first year Theology progress toward priesthood, there are certain official steps / events that I pass through. The next one is Ministry of Lector. As you can see below, a bishop will confer the office of Ministry of Lector (or also called Reader) upon me and seven other men studying for priesthood on Wednesday, March 16th. Future steps will include Acolyte, Diaconate and eventually, God willing, Ordination.
I will be on Vashon Island late Saturday the 19th thru early Wednesday the 22nd.Yes, I will be around for both masses on Sunday and of course “coffee hour” and most probably longer than an hour, to talk, chat and update anyone who wishes to listen or even for those who have questions. Or if any of the teachers want me to talk in any of there Faith Formation Classes, just let me know ( See you, and I hope many others.
