Faith Formation Enrollment
It is time to enroll for Faith Formation!  It will be a full and exciting year for our students with Faith Formation officially beginning on Sunday, September 25th. We are offering sacrament preparation sessions for First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation this year. We will be continuing with our successful Family Faith Formation Night on Wednesdays for middle school and high school students and adults. Child care is provided.

Registration forms and calendars are available on tables in the vestibule and social hall.  Please register your students at your earliest convenience as the enrollment due date for all grade levels is September 18th.

Faith Formation Evenings
Wednesdays 6:30-8:30pm in the Social Hall
 St. John Vianney continues to offer Faith Formation evenings on Wednesday nights which will include:
  • YDisciple
    for Middle and High School Youth participants
    Middle and High School youth are invited to meet in small groups, building relationships and trust while receiving Catechesis and guidance from adult mentors. Cynthia Delgado mentors the young women's group and Collin Medeiros mentors the young men.    
  • Word on Fire: The Pivotal Players
    for Adult participants
    New Series from Bishop Barron's Word on Fire: Catholicism: The Pivotal Players. Bishop Barron is on a new journey to unlock the truth behind the Catholic Church's most influential people
    • Childcare will be provided 
    • Light Refreshments
Ecumenical Book Group
Sept. 4 discussion
"The Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert," by Rosaria Butterfield, will be discussed from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 4, by the Vashon Ecumenical Book Group in the Fireside Room at Bethel Church, 14736 Bethel Lane SW.  All are welcome.
In this personal memoir, Butterfield, a former English and women's studies professor, converts to Christ in what she describes as a "train wreck" at the hand of the supernatural.  

St. Vincent de Paul
There will be a collection for St. Vincent de Paul after all masses the weekend of September 10-11. Thanks for your generosity!
