Announcements 2/5

No Daily Mass Friday, February 10th

Deepen your relationship with God during LentJoin us as we learn about prayer. 6 part series starts March 8!
childcare and refreshments provided.

Though prayer is one of the essentials of a thriving faith, we often feel as if we’re talking to ourselves—or, worse, as if we’re talking to no one at all. How can something so vital to the Faith be so elusive?
Now, with the clear teaching and artistry of the Augustine Institute's Lectio series, Dr. Tim Gray masterfully uses the discipline of Lectio Divina to show you how to make prayer an effective effort of love and intimacy. In six video sessions, Prayer: Finding Intimacy with God captures the secret to opening our hearts and minds to Scripture as the means to hear from God and then respond in conversation, basking in his presence and resolving to live in and through his love.

Engaging and accessible, Prayer: Finding Intimacy With God includes:
  • The Lectio Divina approach of Reading, Reflecting, Responding, and Contemplating
  • Penetrating questions and insights for the six video sessions
  • Additional resources for a fuller understanding and application
  • Daily reflections to deepen the meaning of prayer in your life
  • Space for personal journaling

To help you understand what your youth will be offered, we ask you to visit: This will provide you with “Parent/ Guardian Resources,” to inform you about the curriculum being used while also making available the actual lessons. Your child's catechist will also provide you a handout.

As the guardian, you have the right to opt your child/youth out of this lesson. You may do so by clicking on the link “Opting Out.” You will need to fill this form with your Catechetical Leader.

This announcement is to notify you of our new initiative to provide abuse prevention curriculum to our youth in Faith Formation/Youth Ministry. Unless you would like to opt your youth out of this lesson you are not required to do anything. Please contact Mary Lawrence at for further questions.

The next dates for baptism at our church are the weekend of April 22/23. Rachel’s Corner
Hope and Healing After Abortion
[My wife and I] had never talked about what we did since that day when it happened. I told her how much I regretted my part in the decision, and I begged her to forgive me for not having protected our first child. God’s merciful forgiveness of me not being a man of courage, has now blessed our marriage.      -Testimonial from Retreat
