Immaculate Heart of Our Lady of Fatima statue
visits St. John Vianney
SUN Oct 7: 8-12PM
The statue of the Immaculate Heart of Our Lady of Fatima was blessed by his Holiness Pope Francis on October 23, 2013. It shows Our Lady’s image in her “Last Vision” as she appeared to Sr. Lucia at the convent in Tuy, Spain on June 13, 1929. The Statue travels around America under the sponsorship of the World Apostolate of Fatima, USA (formerly known as the Blue Army), spreading the important Message of Fatima. It will be visiting parishes in the Archdiocese of Seattle, October 7-28, 2018.

In 1917 in Fatima, the Blessed Mother told the three (3) children Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta: “Jesus wishes to make use of you to make Me known and loved. He wants to establish in the world devotion to My Immaculate Heart. To whoever embraces this devotion I promise salvation; these souls shall be dear to God, as flowers placed by Me to adorn His throne”.  She added: “In the end, My Immaculate Heart will triumph.”

CALLED TO SERVE: PLEDGE CARDS CAN DROPPED IN THE COLLECTION BASKET OR TURNED IN TO THE OFFICE
Everyone should have received their packet from Archbishop Sartain with a request to make a meaningful and sacrificial gift of a suggested amount. Making your gift into a pledge over three years can help maximize your ability to support the worthy goals of the Called to Serve as Christ campaign. Breaking down payments into annual, semi-annual, quarterly or even monthly payments can help you budget your gift.

A pledged commitment adds up quickly and will help St. John Vianney reach its campaign goal of $322,000. As part of this campaign, 15% of the funds raised by our parish will be returned to address our specific needs of modernizing the rectory. Everyone will need to pray and decide on their own what pledge amount and breakdown is appropriate and meaningful for their specific situation.

Example: If a family is asked to consider a gift of $3600 to the campaign, it may seem like too much to do at one time. If the family divides it annually, it may seem more manageable at $1200 a year for three years. But, even more manageable, if the family chooses to break it down even further, to monthly, it would come out to $100 per month over three years, or about the amount the family might spend eating out at a restaurant during the month. Every time the $100 payment is made, $15 goes to St. John Vianney to modernize the rectory. Once the parish reaches its goal of $322,000, 85% of the funds that come in from that point goes to the parish
